Sunday Morning Worship

We see that the church in the New Testament had the habit of meeting together on the first day of the week (Acts 20:7) to worship God. They remembered Christ life, death, and resurrection through the Lord’s Supper (Matthew 26:24-30; 1 Corinthians 11:23-29). They sang songs to praise God and encourage one another (Ephesians 5:19; Colossians 3:16; 1 Corinthians 14:15; Hebrews 15:15). They prayed to God through Christ (Ephesians 5:20 and 6:18;Romans 12:12; 2 Corinthians 1:11). They had prayers of praise, thanksgiving, confession, and requests. They would preach the Word of God and listen to it being preached (2 Timothy 4:2; Romans 10:14-15; 1 Corinthians 1:23). They also took time to reflect on what they had been given and then gave what they could (1 Corinthians 16:1-2; 2 Corinthians 8 &9). Their worship wasn’t anything fancy it was just respecting God and giving Him the worship that He deserves. We try to follow the example we find in the Bible. We strive to please God with our worship.

Our doors are always open and we invite you to join us. You may ask, “What does your worship look like?” It’s simple what you find in the Bible is what we have described above. That is how we worship! We remember Christ life, death, and resurrection through the Lord’s Supper. We sing together as a family with our voices only. It doesn’t matter if we have a great voice or not. It has never been about how well we sing but about the heart of the one worshiping. We sing because He has asked us to. We will pray together as a family. We will listen and are challenged by the preaching of God’s Word. We take an opportunity to give back to God. We do these things because we want to Worship God the way He wants us to. We want to give Him all the praise and glory we possibly can. We hope to see you soon!

If this sounds new to you or different and you have any questions we would love to be able to study with you about it and look to see what the Bible says when it comes to worship. Please Contact Us so that we can set up a study with you.
