What is Buddy Up?

Buddy Up is a new program we are starting up in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Here at Woodward Park we have many members who have reached out who are willing to help during this time. We have come up with a plan on how we can help serve some of our more vulnerable members and those who will have a harder time getting out right now. We will be matching our volunteers up with those members mentioned above. As a volunteer you will reach out to your buddy once or twice a week by calling to check up on them and see how they are doing. Another responsibility you would have is to run errands for your buddy. Do they need groceries? Do they need medicine? If so, you would then get that list from them as well the as money to cover it. Run their errands while you run your own and simply deliver it to them on their front porch. We think this will help our congregation stay more connected during this time of social distancing and make sure that any member that needs help is taken care of. With your help we can do this!
